GNOSS Semantic AI Platform 5 marks a turning point in our journey by releasing the core of the platform under the Apache 2.0 licence: GNOSS Open Core. After more than fifteen years developing semantic and cognitive technologies, GNOSS Open Core makes the fundamental architecture for building semantic AI projects using ontologies and knowledge graphs available to developers and integrators, with the option of combining it with machine learning capabilities.

The open-source core includes the semantic inference engine, ontology management APIs, SPARQL query engine, knowledge graph construction and navigation, and the base contextualisation and interoperability modules. The code is available on GitHub with full technical documentation, implementation examples, and architecture guides.

The Enterprise version of GNOSS Semantic AI Platform 5 complements this open-source core with advanced scalability capabilities and features specifically designed for demanding corporate environments, including dedicated connectors for enterprise systems, CI/CD tools (continuous integration and continuous deployment), certified security modules, and real-time monitoring tools. The Enterprise version also comes with specialist consultancy and professional support with an SLA commitment.

Both versions share the same technological foundation, ensuring that community contributions can be integrated at any scale of implementation.

We aim for contributions from the developer community to guide the evolution of GNOSS towards the real needs of those building intelligent solutions, maintaining the balance between technical rigour and practical applicability that we have pursued throughout these years and that has defined our journey.
