GNOSS is a technology project built with the ambition of creating differential, disruptive, and innovative technology
We have spent over 20 years working to build and evolve a Cognitive Platform, which now combines, in a Neurosymbolic AI solution, techniques from the Symbolic AI programme to semantically represent knowledge and compute inferences, with techniques from the Sub-symbolic AI programme to predict and deliver humanised interactions.
GNOSS has an in-depth understanding of the possibilities offered by existing semantic representation and computation technologies and their convergence with generative AI, as well as the current state of the art in these fields.
We have a strong track record in R&D, with cutting-edge research in Semantic Artificial Intelligence as our primary focus. In 2010, we became the first Spanish company working in the field of semantic data representation to participate in the major global project to build the semantic web with open, linkable data — the Linked Open Data Cloud — by connecting our GNOSS and Didactalia projects with Freebase, the New York Times, and DBPedia. Since then, we have worked intensively in R&D areas focused on developing solutions that combine semantic artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and generative language technologies, with the aim of building applications, solutions, and tools designed for end users that emulate and meet the requirements and conditions of human cognition.
Our product research and development team comprises highly qualified engineers, graduates, and doctors specialising in advanced R&D oriented towards building digital products based on the hybridisation of AI technologies on a central symbolic core that exploits the cognitive potential of knowledge graphs. This team has made it possible to implement GNOSS's R&D strategy, delivering a range of R&D projects representing an investment of over €3.3M in own resources, with support from regional (ADER), national (CDTI and RED.ES), and European (Horizon 2020) funding bodies. The result is a platform for developing and deploying Semantic AI solutions, integrated with natural language processing and generative technologies, that streamlines and facilitates the creation and exploitation of knowledge graphs with a highly humanised user experience.
We continue to push the boundaries of our product, with the support of the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), through its CERVERA funding call for R&D projects, from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, for the development of the project "Semantic High Performance Computing for Machine Reasoning". The aim of this project is to research and develop a deductive reasoning system for super-massive knowledge graphs, in order to add capabilities and services to GNOSS Semantic AI Platform across three major areas of knowledge and operation:
- High-performance computing on massive knowledge graphs within a private, scalable, and secure architecture
- The configuration and deployment of semantic AI services, deductive and auditable, with knowledge discovery functions through logical reasoning
- The hybridisation of sub-symbolic AI technologies to enhance information discovery computing and to incorporate conversational information retrieval into its HCIR interfaces.
