Hoy ha tenido lugar en la Sala Europa del Senado de España la ceremonia de la cuarta edición de los Premios Nacionales de Ingeniería Informática, organizados por el Consejo General de Ingeniería en Informática de España (CCII). Un evento que reúne cada año a lo más destacado del sector TIC para reconocer la excelencia, la innovación y el talento de quienes impulsan la transformación digital en nuestro país. GNOSS ha tenido el honor de participar en esta edición como patrocinador del evento y, además, de hacer entrega del Premio dentro de la categoría 'Emprendimiento' a OMNIA, una plataforma de ciberseguridad impulsada por IA que ayuda a investigar, automatizar y "aterrizar" trabajo de seguridad con resultados prácticos. El proyecto nace en Málaga como resultado directo de una colaboración virtuosa entre empresa y universidad: se gestó dentro de la Cátedra de Ciberseguridad UMA & Google, y lo desarrolla un equipo de talento joven salido de la Universidad de Málaga Apostamos por el ecosistema tecnológico español y por quienes, como OMNIA, demuestran que la innovación y el emprendimiento en ingeniería informática son motores de progreso para toda la sociedad. Los Premios Nacionales de Ingeniería Informática reconocen anualmente a personas, empresas e instituciones con una labor destacada dentro del sector TIC. En esta cuarta edición, la ceremonia ha contado con representantes del ámbito académico, profesional, empresarial e institucional. Desde GNOSS, felicitamos a OMNIA por este merecido reconocimiento y a todos los premiados y premiadas.

On 18 March, a training session organised by the CEOD (Centre of Excellence and Data Offices) of Málaga City Council took place, demonstrating how data administration, governance and lineage form the foundation for building decision-support tools and knowledge generation within organisations. Susana López Sola, Head of Public Sector Sales at GNOSS, presented how knowledge graphs function as the semantic core of Artificial Intelligence programmes, giving attendees an insight into how knowledge is structured through ontologies to create intelligent semantic ecosystems.

GNOSS took part in the second edition of the One to One Talent and Research event, held at the Science and Technology Complex of the University of La Rioja (UR) and organised by the Federation of Businesses of La Rioja (FER) together with the University itself. The event was opened by the UR's Vice-Chancellor, Eva Sanz, the President of the Government of La Rioja, Gonzalo Capellán, and the President of the FER, Eduardo de Luis. The event aims to facilitate direct contact between businesses, university students and research groups, fostering knowledge transfer and the integration of new talent into La Rioja's business community. One to One Talent In this format, around a hundred students from various UR degree programmes conducted 324 interviews with the 25 participating companies, including GNOSS. The format aims to bring the realities of the business world closer to students, and gives us a first-hand look at the profiles being developed at the university. For GNOSS, events like this sit naturally alongside its commitment to open knowledge, information management and talent development — the pillars on which the company builds its solutions and projects. One to One research Alongside this, 18 companies and sector associations from the FER held 47 meetings with 21 UR research groups. These groups work across areas such as biotechnology, computing, energy, oenology, climate change and industrial processes, among others, with clear potential for real-world business application. The link between applied research and industry is an area where GNOSS also sees opportunity, given its work around data management and structured knowledge. Events like this — where business, university and talent come together — are exactly the kind of ecosystems we want to be part of: because building technology for people starts with listening, understanding and connecting.

The data we build and the decisions we make determine what problems we can solve, and how. Bienvenido/a a nuestro Boletín. Aquí compartimos reflexiones sobre qué es, qué no y qué puede llegar a ser la inteligencia artificial, y cómo funciona el enfoque neurosimbólico.

El conocimiento que no encuentra destino se convierte en ruido. Transfiere existe, precisamente, para que eso no ocurra. Es un foro donde las ideas se encuentran con quienes pueden darles forma, donde la conversación tiene consecuencias. Para GNOSS, que nació de esa misma pregunta —el saber "el para qué" de lo que hacemos— este espacio se siente propio. Y como siempre que uno va a esos lugares donde las cosas suceden de verdad, volvemos con más preguntas que respuestas. Que es, exactamente, de lo que se trata. Donde la idea deja de ser un paper Hay un instante difícil de precisar, pero inconfundible cuando ocurre: cuando una idea deja de vivir en un papel y empieza a existir en el mundo. En las mesas redondas, en los pasillos, en los márgenes de los debates, emergió una y otra vez la misma idea: la empresa tecnológica no es un ejecutor, es un interlocutor, un compañero de viaje, dijeron muchos. Una forma de entender la transferencia que en GNOSS reconocemos desde el primer día. Innovación es bienestar, competitividad y beneficio social Hablaron de bienestar, competitividad, responsabilidade y obligación de construir algo que valga la pena en un mundo geopolíticamente convulso que no perdona la falta de estrategia. Y en ese marco quedó una idea que no admite matices: la I+D+i es una inversión, no un gasto. En GNOSS esa convicción no es nueva — es fundacional. La hemos traducido en tecnología que razona de forma explicable, que puede ser auditada, que sirve a las personas. Porque innovar, si sirve para algo, debería hacernos más libres. Ya no hay trabajo individual: el modelo es colectivo Quizás el mensaje más transversal de Transfiere 2026 fue este: el trabajo individual ha quedado atrás. Lo que construye valor hoy son los modelos colaborativos, los ecosistemas cohesionados, la coordinación entre actores con intereses comunes orientados hacia un bien común. Crear ecosistemas no es una metáfora: es la estrategia. Ecosistemas donde la proximidad importa, donde conocer los problemas y las necesidades reales de cada territorio permite unir las piezas de un puzzle que, bien encajado, genera valor a escala regional y nacional. Conocimiento y talento: la mejor energía del país Transfiere nos recordó que el conocimiento y el talento son el recurso más valioso que tenemos. La materia prima sobre la que construir competitividad, innovación y bienestar. Para que ese potencial se convierta en realidad, hacen falta políticas adaptadas que lo impulsen, y una apuesta decidida por la proximidad, la experiencia compartida y los intereses comunes como punto de partida.

La semana pasada tuvo lugar la jornada de formación Webinar “La IA como palanca de gobernanza y conocimiento" organizabada por por CEOD (Centro de Excelencia y Oficinas del Dato) del Ayuntamiento de Logroño y moderada por Arantxa Marín Laseca (Dinamizadora del CEOD) e Irene Herreros Martínez (Responsable Técnica CEOD). La sesión ofreció una visión sobre cómo aprovechar los datos urbanos para crear ecosistemas realmente inteligentes. Se abordaron conceptos clave sobre el papel transformacdor de la IA como herramienta de apoyo a la toma de decisiones, la gobernanza y la generación de conocimiento en las organizaciones. Los grafos de conocimiento como eje central Susana López Sola, Responsable del área comercial en GNOSS, presentó cómo los grafos de conocimiento funcionan como el corazón semántico de los programas de Inteligencia Artificial. Durante la formación mostramos las capacidades clave de un grafo de conocimiento computable: Modelado semántico de datos con relaciones explícitas entre entidades Razonamiento automatizado e inferencia de nuevos hechos a partir de datos existentes sin intervención humana Realización de simulaciones sobre datos del grafo Establecimiento de flujos de trabajo y reglas de decisión automáticas Interacción mediante consultas en lenguaje natural Detección de patrones y predicciones en combinación con Machine Learning Un elemento central de la formación fue presentar las aplicaciones prácticas y estratégicas de la IA neurosimbólica, resultado de la hibridación entre la IA simbólica y subsimbólica. Acercamos a los asistentes la manera en que el conocimiento se estructura a través de ontologías creando así ecosistemas semánticos inteligentes. Asimismo, destacamos los beneficios de utilizar grafos de conocimiento operados con IA: construcción de sistemas de metadatos automáticos y categorización inteligente de contenidos, creación de ecosistemas digitales completos con puntos únicos de interrogación, mapas y líneas de tiempo que representan resultados agregados. La formación cubrió también sistemas avanzados de recomendación de alta precisión, descubrimiento de conocimiento basado en razonamiento e inferencias, dashboards dinámicos interrogables desde múltiples perspectivas de usuario que funcionan en tiempo real, asistentes conversacionales de mundo abierto, gestión proactiva de la información y sistemas de escritura distribuida basados en Semantic Dynamic Publishing. Inteligencia Artifical alineada con la normativa europea Carmen Carrillo, consultora senior de Privacidad en Auren, participó en la sesión recordando la importancia del enfoque ético y responsable en las prácticas de IA, abogando por sistemas auditables, trazables y explicables. A través de esta formación, impulsada dentro del proyecto EDINT, Espacio de Datos para las Infraestructuras Urbanas Inteligentes) se busca generar valor tangible a la ciudadanía y las empresas de nuestra localidad mediante la gestión compartida.

RTVE ha desarrollado RTVE Grafo, el grafo de conocimiento del Archivo Audiovisual Español, un proyecto de innovación que establece un nuevo paradigma en el acceso al patrimonio audiovisual español. Cincuenta años de historia de la radio y televisión públicas se han transformado en un tejido vivo que entrelaza más de 2 millones de recursos audiovisuales, 26 millones de entidades y 85 millones de relaciones representadas en 167 millones de tripletas RDF. Se trata de una plataforma que permite a las audiencias descubrir contenidos no solo como piezas aisladas, sino a través del entramado que las conecta: autores, temáticas, formatos, épocas. Un grafo de conocimiento que genera infinitas vías de descubrimiento conversacional.

Bilbao Museoa inauguró el pasado viernes 26 de septiembre su nueva plataforma digital del conocimiento, un proyecto que consigue, por primera vez, la “desiloficación” de su patrimonio digital integrando los tres pilares de su patrimonio cultural —colección de obras, archivo histórico y biblioteca — en un grafo de conocimiento unificado y accesible desde un único punto de interrogación. La plataforma integra más de 170.000 recursos, más de 10 millones de entidades y más de 6 millones de relaciones permitiendo el acceso a 70.000 documentos, 6.600 obras y 57.000 referencias bibliográficas. El sistema entiende de los hechos relacionados con autores, obras, contenidos, temas, épocas y estilos, así como cualquier objeto enlazado con ellos, y cómo este conjunto de entidades está conectado. En la presentación oficial de la plataforma digital, en la que ha colaborado Metro Bilbao, participaron Elixabete Etxanobe Landajuela, Diputada General de Bizkaiko Foru Aldundia / Diputación Foral de Bizkaia, Miguel Zugaza, Director de Bilbao Museoa, Javier Novo González, Director de departamento de colecciones de Bilbao Museoa, Irune Martínez, Responsable de desarrollo digital, Sònia López, Comisaria Digital del proyecto, Eneko Arruebarrena Elizondo, Director General de Metro Bilbao, y Ricardo Alonso Maturana, Director de GNOSS. Durante el evento, se mostró el potencial de la plataforma mediante la "Vista de Bilbao" (1700), obra encargada por John Seale, comerciante inglés que prosperó económicamente en la villa durante el siglo XVIII. Considerada la representación pictórica más antigua de hashtag#Bilbao y recientemente adquirida por el museo, ilustró cómo el sistema permite explorar cada obra, así como sus conexiones históricas y artísticas. La base tecnológica del proyecto se ha desarrollado con GNOSS Semantic AI Platform, plataforma española de referencia internacional en IA Neurosimbólica que integra, interroga y expresa los contenidos y procesos adaptándose a los intereses de las personas. Gran parte de lo escrito, promulgado y esperado en el ámbito de los principios éticos de la IA se ha convertido en un mero ejercicio de cumplimiento rutinario, en lugar de servir como una guía práctica para abordar las complejas consideraciones éticas que enfrentan los operadores y usuarios reales de sistemas de IA. El pasado 6 de mayo asistimos al Congreso Nacional de Inteligencia Artificial en Pamplona, un evento en el que se abordó la manera en la que la IA puede integrarse en nuestra sociedad de manera ética, responsable y con sentido común. Europa, con su nueva Ley Europea de IA, ha establecido un marco regulatorio para el uso de la IA en la Unión Europea. Su solución radica en la "explicabilidad" de los modelos de IA. Para cumplir con los requisitos que la ley establece, un sistema de IA debe ser confiable, trazable y, en última instancia, auditable. Las "cajas negras" algorítmicas deben transformarse en "cajas de cristal" cuyo funcionamiento pueda ser supervisado y replicado por terceros, además de ser comprendido por sus usuarios finales. Desde GNOSS, trabajamos en esto desde hace mucho tiempo y tenemos clara cuál es nuestra propuesta: una arquitectura capaz de representar con precisión los conceptos, entidades y procesos, es decir, un sistema que entienda el mundo y sepa "conversar" con él en un marco de sentido común. The new Tourism Intelligence System will integrate data and advanced technology to offer a personalized experience, anticipating trends and improving the management of products and services in La Rioja.GNOSS and JIG, united in a UTE, will participate in the development of the new Tourism Intelligence System of La Rioja (SITR), a strategic initiative for the digitalization and modernization of the regional tourism sector. This project, promoted by the Government of La Rioja within the framework of the Tourism Modernization and Competitiveness Plan, aims to analyze behavior patterns and anticipate market trends, allowing the sector to adapt more quickly to changes in demand.The SITR will be able to interpret how tourists and citizens interact with the Riojan environment, identifying their interests and preferences to build a more attractive and personalized tourism offer.The system will be supported by a technological platform designed to collect, analyze and visualize diverse and dispersed information related to heritage, gastronomy, social life and the cultural agenda, among other key areas of tourism. It will include a professional portal and a destination portal, through which tourism products, experiences and promotions will be managed. In addition, it will incorporate a Content Management System (CMS) that will allow all information to be centralized and managed efficiently, facilitating its updating and dissemination.The SITR will be developed using advanced artificial intelligence, designed to offer precise answers, understand context and adapt to the needs of the environment. This technology will combine knowledge graphs —which organize and connect information intelligently— with generative artificial intelligence capabilities. Furthermore, the system will be integrated with the Intelligent Destination Platform (PID), which will allow greater connection and interoperability with other services and platforms of the digital tourism ecosystem.It will have several modules oriented to destination promotion and marketing, among which stand out a CRM, reputation analysis tools and evaluation of citizen perception, and an integrated commercialization platform with virtual box office, which will facilitate the purchase and booking of tourism experiences. These modules will allow access to key information about tourist flows, consumption patterns and demand evolution, through the implementation of interactive dashboards. It will have an in-destination recommendation engine and an intelligent virtual assistant that will facilitate personalized, contextual and continuous communication with visitors, beyond their stay.This project strengthens the positioning of La Rioja as an innovative and digitalized destination, capable of competing in an increasingly technified global environment. The new website of the Diputación de Ourense (depourense.gal) goes into production, a project that seeks to renew its image, improve the relationship with citizens and offer more accessible content adapted to emerging technologies. GNOSS has built a knowledge graph integrating different data sources in order to optimize access to information and the search experience for users.An advanced search engine based on structured knowledgeOne of the most innovative aspects of the new website is its search engine, which GNOSS has designed to offer an agile and intuitive experience. This metasearch engine allows information to be consulted precisely through different criteria. Currently, provincial bulletins from the last 15 years, the websites of Ourense municipalities, the National Grants Database and other resources of interest are already indexed.Single Point of Query: intelligent access to informationThanks to GNOSS technology, the Diputación de Ourense website incorporates a Single Point of Query, a functionality that facilitates the consultation of information dispersed across different sources. This system allows users to obtain more precise and contextualized answers, optimizing access to data in an integrated manner.Innovative technology at the service of public administrationThe implementation of this technology makes the Diputación de Ourense a pioneering institution in adopting an advanced model of semantic search and knowledge management. Last Tuesday, February 4th, Ricardo Alonso Maturana, director of GNOSS, shared his experience and knowledge in an intervention on Capital Radio in which the development of Artificial Intelligence, its impact on Europe, and GNOSS's activity in the technology market were highlighted. Current AI technologies, such as large language models (LLMs), are self-referential and lack memory and symbolic capacity, so they cannot represent reality, nor provide logical and reproducible explanations of their decisions. An auditable AI must be based on a theory of mind that allows machines to recognize and symbolically represent the entities of the world and their relationships. In short, a trustworthy AI must commit to truth and be capable of symbolically representing reality.In this context, the Government of Spain, through SEGITTUR, is leading an ambitious project to digitize the tourism sector through the creation of a Unified and Global Knowledge Graph of Spanish Tourism. This effort includes the construction of an Intelligent Platform for Destinations with an investment of 65 million euros, aimed at consolidating all tourism data into a large unified knowledge graph, queryable by machines and people. This approach will not only improve the efficiency and accuracy of tourism recommendations, but will also ensure that AI solutions are transparent and verifiable. In conclusion, it is necessary to combine symbolic AI technologies, such as those related to the exploitation of knowledge graphs, with generative techniques to build AI solutions that are both efficient and explainable.

We attended Semantics 2024, the leading European congress that for 20 years has been dedicated to symbolic AI and knowledge graphs.The international congress Semantics 2024, held in Amsterdam between October 17 and 19, highlighted the importance of knowledge graphs (KGs) in the explainability, veracity, and auditability of AI. Advanced AI techniques for building, refining, and enriching KGs were discussed. Likewise, the convergence between KGs and large language models (LLMs) to operate them was a central theme, especially when applied to problems of inference and reliable reasoning.
